  • It moves to the roots ensuring high levels of long-term control.
  • It can be used in pastures grazed by cattle or sheep for enhanced grazing productivity.
  • It is very safe to grass.
  • It does not hold back grass growth after application.

Application Advice

Avoid treating weeds suffering from waterlogging, drought stress, cold stress, suffering from disease, e.g., Ramularia, or those affected by insect damage, e.g., dock beetle. Forefront T is LERAP Category B, meaning a 5 metre area must be left unsprayed next to a flowing or static waterbody, or 1 metre unsprayed near dry ditches.

Forefront T is not approved for use by hand-held equipment, e.g., knapsack or lance. Choose Grazon Pro for these uses. Target actively growing plants in the rosette stage up to 250 mm across or high. If larger than this consider topping and spraying once sufficient regrowth has occurred.

Rates

Use at 2.0 L/ha in a water volume of 200 L/ha. If weed numbers are high, or if the grass sward is dense, increase to 300 L/ha. Reducing water volume to speed up spraying operations can lead to poorer long-term control. Alternatively, Corteva support the use of DRN down to 200 L/ha in all crop and weed growth situations.

Cattle & sheep grazing

Only use in grassland for grazing by cattle or sheep. Exclude livestock during treatment and do not allow livestock to graze the treated grassland for at least 7 days following treatment. If ragwort is present, livestock should not be returned to the treated grassland until any ragwort has completely recovered or died and there is no visual sign of the dead weed.

Do not use on grassland that will be cut for animal feed, fodder or bedding nor for composting or mulching within one calendar year of treatment. It can be used after the last silage cut on grassland being returned to grazing – allow for sufficient weed regrowth to occur before spraying.
